Soo Im coming down to syd for benz training in mid August 13th - 16th, wanna stay on the weekend 17th - 18th and do something so thinking a meet up / natio / cruise etc...

I was talking with Andrew last night, and I think we should do the same route as the Chrissy cruise! So take express way from corrimal down to Albion park then duck through the back of park and do the twists to jamberoo then Jamba to kiama :) much funner and less traffic hopefully

I didn't come to the first meet, I met everyone at stanwell :) but yeah man :)

And so what kinda time would that be getting to Kiama?

according to the map its almost 2 hours, if we leave at the latest 11AM, have a stop to get lunch on the way etc could be there by like 1:30-2PM maybe, but i dont know man, youd have to leave pretty early to meet at 10-11AM

Well i didn't come on the chrissy cruise, so can you be a little more specific about the meet point?
Just looked it up, it's a 2:26 drive to the start.. :/
Then it's 3:25 from kiama to home.
If cruise is ~2 hours, that means
~6 hours driving + ~2 hours cruise = ~8 hours.

People, just how "good" is this road? that's like driving to Brisbane :eek:

Your going off the map, not counting traffic etc... youll slow down once you get to sydney, I drove to andys place for the mod day weekend at end of last year took me 3.5 hours in Woolongong, stopped twice though, almost 4 to get back home due to traffic

Can I suggest you meet at 10 and leave at 10:30. Only reason is it gets dark early even mid august and you really don't want to be driving back up to Sydney in late evening traffic if one can avoid it. after 4PM even that time of year it's dark very quickly.

As for me I am maybe don't know where I am and don't know if I will have car or boats available to me.

alright hammo here's how its going to be :) lol

meet at loftus tafe as the oval will be packed with soccer mums and ****,
meeting time from 9;30 depart at 10:30am.

won't need to stop for lunch as if everyone put in like $5-10 we'll buy a **** load of meat and have a BBQ at bens house, and he's got a pool for everyone to have a dip and refresh :)

depending on traffic and how well people keep together the over all trip will be like 2-2.5 hours MAX that's including stops to regroup

so have a BBQ at bens at like 1:30ish
and then you can depart from there as you wish and need to to make it home by a seasonable time :) it will be a good day out :) hope to see many of you there and meet the newbies :)
