Recommendation on Springs / Coilovers for BP

Hi guys,

I'm very new to Astina (just bought mine 3 weeks ago) - Astina 1995 BP 1800.

So we are doing a engine rebuild (car already had 375K) + rewire + paint + wheels + shocks +interior + etc.

Now I'm at a point where I can pick the wheels + shocks. (thinking of getting 17 x 8 CE28 wheels) & the next question is Springs / Coilovers and I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to it. (I always used stock shocks in my previous cars)

Can you guys tell me what I should be looking for / what I should expect?
Should I look for specific coilovers/springs made for Astina? or is there some other way to know what fits in the car? (I heard Koni / H&R are good)

Any help is highly appreciated (I checked the forum + google but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for)

Thanks in advance!

Welcome and nice project.
There are specific springs and coilovers available on the market.
I'd go for a set of D2/ksport/xyz/BC Racing coilovers. They are similar but may differ in spring rates and dampers. Best do your own research on those brands.

Welcome!

What are your roads like? If they're rough, stick with springs.

Hey man, thanks for the recommendations. I'll check if I can find any of those brands in Bangkok :D

Well, we do have rough roads ('rough' compared to Europe)
