Cruise: 14/7/2012

Hey Guys,

Not sure of how many active South Australian members are on the forum, however I thought I might as well give trying to organise a cruise a shot :p

So I haven't and won't decide on a route yet, however I will decide on the route and time/date if there is enough interest shown.

Car choice is not discriminated upon; any car is welcome.

Thanks in advance,
Nick

+1

I am all up but would have to wait till this ridiculous raining days are over

xeon8 24-05-2012 05:16 PM

Yeah, I dont think it will be for a little while as I have exams on in the next week... Maybe in 3 or 4 weeks time perhaps? Again, if theres enough interest though...
I might chuck something up on OMC too and see how that goes.

if your wanting more interest from your laser cousins could join "ford laser south australia" we have quiet a few mazda people with familia's & astina's a like usually getting anything from 3 cars to 9 cars

xeon8 13-06-2012 04:51 PM

Getting quite a bit (well, what I consider a bit :p) of interest from the FL people :D. Anyone else from AGT? Or just Zenki? :)

Drift Thorpey 15-06-2012 05:41 PM

Always down for a good bash, keep me in the loop on FB Nick, I'll see if I can get the GutterStars boys down for a drive too.
Dates are essential as early as possible bro ;)

So the cruise has now been set on the 14th of July. Route is http://g.co/maps/w6dpw. Something tells me that the route may be reversed depending on the time we depart.

But anyway, my description taken from fordlaser.com:

I have started the route up the top of the TTP carpark; I figured thats a good location if you want to take some photos before departing and ends on Stradbroke road as there is a Coles underground carpark which is awesome to take some night-time shots in. Again, as I said it may not suit everyone so feel free to make the necessary changes.
I'm not sure of the time however, must tee it up with everyone sometime soon!

Keep me posted with the date Nick so I can arrange a day off at work ;)

Drift Thorpey 16-06-2012 12:34 AM

How come you need a day off work?
I thought this was a night thing? :s

Anyways 14th sounds dandy

xeon8 16-06-2012 12:48 AM

Yeah, most likely it will be at night (people (including myself) might be working during the day) in which case it will definitely be at night.

LOL I work in a hotel (restaurant & bar) so my hours get crazy sometimes :D If I can't get a morning shift on that day I may as well take a whole day off rather than miss a cruise :P

Drift Thorpey 19-06-2012 12:40 PM

Aight, I'll arrange for me and the Urabus, maybe the Pulsar and the Accord to roll up.
Packin Red Bulls and keen to get fast if its not too wet that night. Cool night air in the hills, damn I miss living so close to Norton Summit :s

xeon8 19-06-2012 02:03 PM

Apparently its gonna be raining on the 14th... well according to the 28 day forecasts (don't trust those sites, they look dodgy). Hopefully things start to clear up that night :/ if it does rain, of course...

Anyway, bring who you can, so far there seems to be a good number of people coming (10-15 people so far) so hopefully it should be a good night!

Also changed the starting point; initially it was the top-level TTP carpark but now has moved to the other side to the underground car park in Tea Tree Plus where Cafe Bongiorno is.

Drift Thorpey 19-06-2012 03:53 PM

Bring strobes and rave cave music for that real 'authentic' underground feel...
May also need about 200 asians, 2 DJs and some better cars...

Jks, I'm not Lil Bow Wow

xeon8 22-06-2012 01:06 PM

So the finishing point of the cruise has now changed; its the Woolies up at Athelstone. For those of you who don't know, its just past the BP on the corner of Gorge and Maryvale Roads.

Whoops :s

Alright, so in failing to provide a working Facebook link, I've provided all the information you need to know (which is also posted on Facebook):

Date - July 14, 2012
Time - 9:00pm
Starting point - Tea Tree Plus
Route - Route
Finishing point - Athelstone Woolies

xeon8 09-07-2012 10:58 AM

Having to change the starting point again. The Bongiorno underground carpark is usually locked after 8:30 (even on a Saturday) so I've decided to change the starting point to the huge carpark here:

Carpark

Turn right onto Modbury Ave from North East Road, and then turn tight into the capark. I'll get there a little earlier as a marker for everyone.

Underground Limiter Bashing...
Always fun
