IS L (Large) in Japan same as larger in OZ???

Rupewrecht 16-06-2008 09:22 AM

Rodhog reckons it's different (Our M = their S), but i've never bought anything to be able to tell for sure.

rodhog 16-06-2008 10:44 PM

IT Is that way.

it's like how can I put this.

if you buy clothing you sometimes notice they have like for KING GEE shirts or Overalls etc

LARGE is - 85-95 cm but then there is 90 to 100cm larger - for fatter necks.
well it's like that

it's all on the small side.

For example All my work wear is ordered and then they put logos and my name etc. Barcode for the laundry etc.

All my stuff is XXL and XXXL - right now. I'm big in the right places and small in some of the others - why my nipples are so I don't know.

but normal stuff I'm a L and XL. you have to go 2 sizes up

in my own bought King gee it's only the large size and then again the fatter neck stuff. So I can get my head through.

it's only 5cm but it's huge difference.

Most of the asian stuff works off the smaller side of the scales.

All my US bought JEans are MASSIVE - like well my snoop dogg stuff is old andi t's too big now by 4 inchs but it was 4inchs too big even when I fitted in them.

European fits well - except the Label stuff it's on sliglhty small side.
EG you have to be built like male model to fit in to some of them and after that they make you look like a YANK.

A Yank tank- like a 300C in rome.

I hope that explains it.

If it was medium ot large guy or normal large always large never X-large I'd buy the large stuff.

but I've just got too much stuffing

oh and Rupe those MS gloves -

they are going in frame, I got them on but well getting them off was hard.
they were large too

4ORGD 15-12-2008 06:23 PM

where did u find these?? HAHA

rodhog 16-12-2008 12:38 AM

dam I'm glad they are only large

oh. Stop putting these up Rupe - don't oyu know about the economic turn down.

rodhog 28-01-2009 10:40 PM

the measurements are like the chest waist and then arm and leg length's

it's easy of the normal system but just remember they don't use X - they add a L,
so SS is supersmall M is medium and LL is like extra large but if you look at CM measurments you would see it fits more under our loacl Large size but even then some parts are smaller.

example - is how some of the overalls are long in the arm/legs in comaprisson to the waist.
others that are wider in the waist are shorter in the arms and legs.

The MS jackets i've got are pretty indicative of Australian sizing.

Declared size:
From exact size size neck crotch: 89cm
Length: 72
Body width: 62cm
Sleeve length: 58cm

About $110 @ the starting price landed

rodhog 06-07-2009 10:57 PM

I wish I could fit into it. And it's not so muhc the waist either. I can easily get rid of that part - it's like my overalls and stuff. My shoulders are too wide.

I went to put on another jacket I bought some time recently cost a bit and I can zip it up it's nice but I can't move my arms.

Seriously all new clothing is like made for small shoulder guys. What about us Muscle men type footy players. Us guys with massive shoulders. I can't imagine if I hit the weights again and trim to 98kg and go back to benching I will fit into any of my clothes.

Maybe I need to find Mazdaspeed SUMO gear

D-Train 07-07-2009 07:45 PM

I'd love a MS race suit if there is such a thing!

The closest you'll get is that MS pitcrew overall above.

Ky_88 29-07-2009 05:09 PM

You'd look like a bit of a nong walking around town in a Mazda overall lol. But in a workshop... that's a different story I suppose! For $13 that's pretty good... can't buy normal overalls that cheap. Trust me I deal in workwear for my candidates lol.

rodhog 29-07-2009 09:59 PM

yeah but the secret with overals is it has to fit in the right directions.

All my old Qantas ones were perfect fit. Arms up NO BALL CRUNCHING, but tank crawling they were tight enough not to be a paint and grab in th wrong places. OR if you had to put on a outsuit for the composites room - AKA where we made carbon fibre parts, Or repairs. YOu coudl move about right.

unfortunatly my last set I bought would fit me tight in some places and kill blood flow in the important areas.

Ky_88 30-07-2009 09:29 AM

LMAO.. important areas. Well I'm sure someone will look good in these. I'm always wary of buying clothes off eBay because you can't try before you buy!

Ghoru 30-07-2009 10:11 AM

lol i had a mate who bought a nie camo jacket off ebay...turns out it was a deceased soldiers jacket that he was killed in...holes and everything, needless to say he was not happy about it

Ky_88 30-07-2009 10:15 AM

Oh now that just sucks.. I don't think I would be wearing it!

Did he know it would be like that? If it wasn't in the description he could have contested it with Paypal?

Ghoru 30-07-2009 08:32 PM

it was in the description that it was in well kept condition. didnt mention anything about holes ect. pretty much the dude said he was an ex serviceman and it was his. my mate got his money back thru paypal tho.

i have been sold dodgy stuff thru ebay. like i bought a Nokia n95 spent 900 bucks and got sent this dodgy POS it LOOKED like an N95 but the software and general construction quality was appalling. I had info that the dude who sold it to me has been charged for fraud ect went to the cops and they said there is nothing the could do. tried to contact the dude and he just dropped off the face of the earth

rodhog 30-07-2009 11:01 PM

Some of the stuff is okay.

I mean it depends on sizeing. What the Japanese think is like
well XL = 95cm waist in Aus but it's more like 85cm in japan or 90cm and those 5 cm on elastic areas are totally different. Like I mean our 95 will streatch to 105cm.

but theres will not.

Everytime you go to Asia if you get custom clothes made and it can be worth it. I had a skin suit made it was said to be Crocodile skin but I think it's some other reptile. I some how was 110cm waist and 120cm chest and all measurements were up.
But gee did it Fit like a glove. I mean I made sure extra Boys room. But tight to my ass. Perfect.

I find always go bigger as it's a tad safer.
All my concert shirts and some I bought extra's - normally one to wear every weekend or similar and one to keep for memory.

Ghoru 31-07-2009 09:09 AM

i really am sorry but now i have this visual of a bloke in a catwoman suit lol

PayPal is a wonderful thing.. it's a shame you couldn't go through them to get your money back for the N95. I bought a PS3 with 5 games, 2 guitars and 2 controllers and it never showed. 40 days later I was reimbursed $511 through PayPal. I'd be in contact with the seller on numerous occasions and they claim they sent it, but I don't think they did!
