Additional accommodation is available onsite at Wakefield raceway as well, but you'll need to organise that yourself.

  • Please make sure your car is prepared, the quicker everybody is ready to go and have their car checked, the more track time we can have.

SP BLING 04-06-2009 10:28 AM

No one else interested??

I'm hoping to have my BA on the road by then and out there racing.

Rupewrecht 04-06-2009 10:40 AM

Already booked in! :)

scott b 04-06-2009 12:48 PM

Sadly mine won't be track standard by then. But I'd love to drive down for it and watch

SP BLING 09-06-2009 10:05 PM

Rupe - Won't this be the first time for the Astina out on a track? So this means that it'll be finished and painted right?

On a track with corners, yes :D

Not sure about painted. Just moved house, so a lot of expenses there that have drained the fund. But never say never!

SP BLING 10-06-2009 10:03 AM

Can't wait to see it in person! You do realise that you are taking me for a ride during a passenger session......

SP BLING 10-06-2009 10:22 AM

That's right....A couple of us crew at Ozmazda are running a track day @ Wakefield on the Saturday the 15th of August.

60 cars max, but at this stage there will probably only be about 40 cars. That's right 40!
Plenty of track time, small groups and heaps of passenger sessions.

Download the entry form here....

http://www.mazdakhana.com.au/OZMAZDA...Entry_Form.doc

...then email back to sp_bling@ozmazda.com and d-mag@ozmazda.com

This is a Noob friendly event. The first sessions of the day will be a passenger session with cones marking the entry, mid, and exit points. There will also be experienced Wakefield campaigners that can/will go out with you to help with lines, braking points and entry and exit speeds. Or, take your mates out and have a laugh, it's up to you.

Cost is $170 including timing.

More details on the Ozmazda site... http://www.ozmazda.com/board/index.php?showtopic=9509

True! :D

Well certainly the comfortable bit, and you're not far wrong with the faster bit either!

daz 10-06-2009 09:52 PM

Actually, that could be quite funny. Lets source out a Budget rent-a-car in Golbourn, rent a couple of i30's and thrash the bejesus out of them at Wakefield.
I'll bring the beer, you bring the credit card. :D

Rupewrecht 10-06-2009 09:54 PM

I don't need encouragement for that sort of ****, Daz :p

Cringgle 14-06-2009 07:41 PM

Please add my name to that list. I'm in.
