Pricing for DBA Slotted long life disks
Hey,
As the topic says. Anyone bought any for there BG, if so how much where they, how much should I expect to pay for some good pads. and how dificult is it to install new disks and pads on the BG? Thanks for your time. Ashlin. |
Ive got some on my BA. They were around $110 per disc.
Pads will be around $100 a pair for a good set. For street purposes, Benidx seems to be the better pad. Just a bit dusty but all pads will be like that now that pads are asbestos free. |
discs and pads a fairly easy job. just don`t chew up the screw that holds the disc onto the hub. it`s quite likely to be pretty tight so make sure you use a good fitting screwdriver. if you do chew it then you`ll have to drill it out.
i use ferodo pads and they don`t seem to give off much dust. or maybe i`m just not stomping on them hard enough!!! |
Did you have any trouble with the hub screw geetee? One of my pet hates are cheap crappy screws that bare as soon as you try to undo them.

Lucas pads are recomended by DBA for not being too chewy on the rotors.
They recomended the cross drilled and lucas pads as trouble free. Got that off the DBA section off the MRT Forum |

didn`t have trouble with the fronts, but the backs were a bit of a nightmare. ended up borrowing an impact driver which done the trick. but if it`s obvious your gonna have bother getting the screw out don`t be tempted to try any further, you`ll just end up with a goosed screw!!

damm the sport ones would look nice :D
pitty they is $146 each hmmmmm but compared to the 109 for slotted ones how much better would the slotted ones be compared to the normal ones wouldnt it just reduce the brake fade because the discs can have air in the slots to cool it down ? |
