EOI: [AUS] SP2NV direct swap for stock

hi there guys,

seeing i have just bought an evo 7 i have no need for the astina anymore...

i was going to sell it but would much prefer to hand it off to someone on here who is looking for a complete package... so i know it will be loved and taken care of by an astina enthousiast......

they therefore can swap me for there car and i'll sell that... therefore they get everything and don't have to do anything in return.

if anyone is SERIOUSLY interested i will list what you get as its not just the car...

chicaboo 13-07-2005 12:01 AM

Hey, that's great, I'm still buying your guage bezel though! :)

um except buy/fit a new gearbox? :D

Nate 13-07-2005 03:17 PM

ill swap!!

wiredone 13-07-2005 09:06 PM

i will be fitting a new gearbox to it shortly. probably another shotpeened one as apposed to the PAR gearbox. I will also be tuning the car down to stop future gearboxes from dieing bringing the boost down to 12psi...

i'm looking for a stock sp20, not an older model sp...

chicaboo: you can have the gauge cluster if you want to give me your stock gauge surround to put in the car when i swap it.

chicaboo 13-07-2005 09:17 PM

Coolies, will get in touch when Andrew get's it. I haven't been following what's happening there though.

chicaboo 13-07-2005 09:33 PM

BTW Doug, is your bonnet an EVO style in fibre glass? If so, how much do you want for it? Contact me via PM with some piccies if you're interested in parting it from the car prior to the swap.

wiredone 13-07-2005 10:00 PM

my bonnet is carbon fibre and fibreglass and its evo style...

their is an article in hot4s about it coming out soon, so you will see good quality pictures of it.

the car looks alot cleaner with the grill in (hot4s shoot style) as apposed to those pics, plus there are none of the car with the bonnet down...

plus i made a mistake in the evo i meant to say i was getting an evo 8...lol

Fro-Daddy 14-07-2005 04:26 PM

can i list of stuff youve done to see if insurance is available for me? i doubt they will insure a 19 year old with this car though...even for justcar :P

pr1mo 14-07-2005 04:34 PM

just say its turbod dont say anything about internal engine mods as it will only scare them and be virtually inpossible to check anyway. theyll probarbly want an engineers cert

cheers mike

wiredone 14-07-2005 11:55 PM

frodaddy: until 1 month ago i was 19 myself with justcars...

at the end of the day its an astina and insurance prices are set by %'s... just think, how many turbo 2003 astina's get written off a year? low %...lol

everything except the pod filter and blow off valve is engineerable... simple mods and its street legal 100%

Well i ut a new windscreen in which is the last of the touch up work for the car after the ball bearing f*ckers and the new gar box is nearly ready to go in...

woofy 19-07-2005 04:24 PM

when does your pics of it come out..and what mag again?

pr1mo 19-07-2005 04:36 PM

if its running aftermarket ECU then id have serious reservations about brining it into victoria.

Those are the words of an un-informed newb... (sorry to be blunt) any decent ECU does barometric correction, therefore no matter what the height above sea level all will be good. so unless the fuel is totally different in victoria everything will be sweet =) (i'm running a Haltech E6X)

on another note though i have driven the car to melbourne for autosalon (got sick though so sadly i didn't make it by the close) I have also driven up the snowy mountains and up to the NSw QLD border...

Although to give pr1mo credit he may be used to the tune you get from such cheap bolt on piggy backs like unichips or powerchips (sorry guys) that only are "usually"(not always the case) a basic voltage adapter (they usually just intercept the stock ECU's mixture voltages and either lift or lower to tune) therefore they don't usually work well when the barometric level (height above sea level) or humidity changes.
