Dudes,

Who runs both turbo timer with car alarm? I am looking at getting new car alarm and thinking towards the future. I believe there are some alarms around with integrated timers. Does anyone have one? Anyone recommend a particular alarm they have or brand even. Basic wish list includes remote boot, dual stage immobilser, ability to add mobile pager down track and other modules as reqd.

As far as ive read, having the TT seperate to the alarm is bad and very easy for would be theives to bypass the alarm. Cut a few wires on the TT and alarm is useless apparently.

Thought, comments, flames etc.[/color:post_uid0]

check out www.brant.com.au

they're an aussie company who specialise in alarms for wrxs. they'r main alarm is fukn awsome, my mate got one on his new 200, but it has alot more than ur looking for, i think its called the nemisis, and it costs a bit over a grand (i think u can also add the gps trackin stuff 4 a bit extra, or alot extra) from memory when he got it done (but not sure). but they have other alarms aswell, so check em out.

wouldnt have a clue about the turbo timer stuff tho.[/color:post_uid0]

Thats the one with the keypad entry system. Bit over the top for me. There are simpler models with code hopping keypads that incorporate TTs. Would be a bit like this system : http://www.jetspeed.com.au/caralarms_boomerang.htm which will even show you the current cabin temp. What a geek toy that is.[/color:post_uid0]

Just to chip in that I couldn't be bothered getting a new
alarm with a TT in it so I just wait the 30 seconds for my
TT to run its course and then arm the alarm. Just something
to consider if the price of the alarms with TT are way more
expensive.

Cyclops do one for $399 installed at strathfield. Thats not too bad. Other models have modules which can be used as TTs but how good they are I dont know.

$399 aint a bad price. Most good alarms go for around the $300-400 mark.

Been speaking to a few people about it, and they agree with you Mal, worse comes to worse.. sit in the car for 30 secs and wait for the TT to finish them arm. The only issue they saw was with the way it was wired in, some alarms can be by-passed if the TT is removed from the circuit.[/color:post_uid0]
