What does yours owe you in the last 12months?

Okay, just got my car back from the mechanic, fixing a misfire problem. They all tell me its a great car, but I have spent way to much this year on it. Now I want to know everybody else's expenses so I don't feel so bad.

Here's my itemised list

General:
2 x oil & filter change - me
2 x radiator caps - me
1 x coolant flush - me
4 x 205/50/16
1 x wheel alignment
12 x NGK spark plugs
1 x HT lead set
1 x ignition coil
2 x rocker cover gaskets
2 x inlet manifold gaskets
1 x gearbox oil change 80W90
1 x cambelt
1 x fuel filet
1 x cambelt idler bearing #1
1 x belt idler bearing #2
1 x belt tensioner bearing
1 x hydraulic tensioner
1 x fanbelt

Modifications:
1 x momo wheel - me
1 x boss kit - me
1 x p/plate - me
swapped headunits - me

What a bloody list. The car hasn't been neglected either it's flown through 4 warrants fine, thats just causes its hit 100,000km :(

To do:
1 x underseal
1 x airfilter
1 x battery
brakes must be near too

Dogo 08-12-2004 08:35 AM

i have easily spent a few thou on stereo alone.

you may have put the money into it this year but by the look of your list its going to have the car running in good condition and it shouldnt cost you as much in the future.

enjoy your car and spend as much as you feel comfortable spending

pr1mo 08-12-2004 09:38 AM

First:
Old guy was going 80km in a 100km zone, when overtaking lanes came up, he stayed in the right hand most lane, still doing 80km, so I overtook him in the left hand lane, as I got up beside him he decides to change lanes without indicating, I brake, he hits my front wheel with his back wheel, I lose it, at 100km/h onto dirt on side of road within meters of large trees, regain control, back on road, follow them, then this 60+ guy and his wife also 60+ gets out and start abusing my. Telling me I'm on drugs etc, then when they look at my car, they start telling me the damage was caused by me hitting a guide post, not their white car, which mysteriously has a dent right where my front hit it, but that was from a previous accident acording to them. That night it was parked outside a friends place, ppl threw fanta from the front right to the back, so when I found that had to wash it off too... Dad agreeded that if I went to court the old couple would win and I would be up for their legal bill too, so I payed.

Second one, in a car park a ute or some high vechile reversed into my boot, then drove off, since I don't know who did it, insurance charge me the excess.

Third crash, corner, raining, petrol on road, loose gravel, wallaby jumped out, /me freaked, steered other way, fishtailed, was on wrong side of road on a blind corner that ppl do 60km on, decided to plant into grassy field on my left, rather than risk regaining control and hitting a car head on, power pole on my left, manage to avoid it by about an inch, only problem, wet grass means my car skids further than originally planned, hit trees...

My crash history... I don't plan on adding to this list

This really is quite a depressing topic......

But it's only money and what else are you going to spend it on anyway?
