BG Pillar Moulds

Just wondering how do you unscrew one of these

And where to source a pair from

And how much are they?

S373N 24-09-2009 04:31 PM

yeh dammit
someone sell us some

derb 24-09-2009 06:07 PM

1 screw at the top on the side that the door closes over, then push then towards to the roof/back of the car and they slide out.

i got legit mazda replacements from mazline parts world in NZ and even with postage it was cheaper than getting them here. otherwise scour every wreckers everywhere.

I still have a brand new pair for sale:

http://www.astinagt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14850

Also, it's important to bend the trims out slightly at the top before pulling them off as described above. If you don't, you'll almost certainly break off a piece of the top part of the trim. Obviously if the trims are already broken you don't need to worry about this.

Alternatively, there's a pair on ebay at the moment.....

I'm in no hurry....

Ghoru 25-09-2009 01:26 AM

or if trims are all ready broken just smash the rest off

I still have all my BG moulds and this is just a curiosity question/s?

Those black plastic moulds/garnish running down each side of the windscreen....I am blown away with the amount of BG's I have seen with these missing. Was it a fault or do they blow off easily? Is there a safe way to remove them so I can stick them down more secure, just in case!

I kinda feel lucky to still have mine and don't want them to go AWOL on me.

thanks heaps.

Ghoru 25-09-2009 08:20 PM

they dont "blow off" they crumble, crack and shatter

Ghoru 25-09-2009 08:24 PM

Madd_Maxx 25-09-2009 08:26 PM

OUCH! I will keep that in mind. Thanks

Golden Oldie 25-09-2009 08:30 PM

So I had better leave well enough alone, eh? They might crack if I try to remove them:(

I was hoping I could take them off and put a bit of silicone behind them, just in case. No so sure, now.

LOL! from what I've seen, it would be easy money :D So many BG's without 'em!

Ghoru 01-10-2009 08:53 PM

yeh i could make money out of it but i would do it more so to help all my BG peeps out

Rupewrecht 01-10-2009 09:48 PM

Hah, you wont make money out of it. For the time and effort, it's easier to just go to Mazda and buy them

Astinadroxycuts 01-10-2009 09:52 PM

I picked 1 for 40$ so it is the effort ....

70NYD 01-10-2009 10:07 PM
