Yeah it's got a cable attached but then there's a short rubber hose coming out that shouldn't be connected to anything. Not sure what would happen if someone accidentally connected it to vac.

Loud? Really? In the cabin with the doors shut I can barely tell the motor is running. With the bonnet up there's a mild tick-tick-tick but kinda blends in with the rest of it.

It's the knock sensor, and it's not oil but the goop the thing is made with. The knock sensor is mounted in a blind hole, so there's nowhere for anything to leak from. It could mean your knock sensor...

Depends on the age of the car, the bushes in the suspension are likely to be well worn by now. Engine mounts do wear out also and if they haven't been changed yet then the forward mount and gearbox...

The contact patch should be the same area, but with a slightly deeper sidewall, sidewall stiffness is reduced, so if anything less grip? I know you can run other sizes but it was just a general heads...
