It would mainly depend on the methods that the cruise control uses to monitor and adjust your speed. if it hooks into the ECU, then yes there is a difference in which wires it connects to, because the ECUs will be different between the 4cyl and the 6cyl astinas.

Some of the cheaper aftermarket units I've seen have a thing that monitors the physical wheel rotations, and another unit that adjusts the accelerator cable. This kind of cruise control would work acoss both models of astina.
