It is not attached mate. You just have to unplug all the cables at the back, including the speedocable. When youve got the whole assembly out, there are a couple of screws to undo so that you can get the arms out. Once this is done, the plastic perspecs just pops out with a tiny flat head screw drive(be very careful as there are about 6 clips that hold them together)
