Hi,

I am experiencing the same issue with my car (323 2002 SP20). As a temporary fix, I put a fair bit of silicon on top of cracked spot welds. This has stopped water from coming in for now. Today I took a car to my mechanic to get this fixed permanently, he reckons it wouldn't be an easy job and would probably require dash, trim, carpet and steering column to come out in order to redo the welds. He will talk to some panel beaters as well to see what they have to say. Current quote is around $600. Anyone got this fixed properly and how much did you end up paying?
