Thanks for the info ripper, would love to get something along the lines of a 400D but really cant see me justifying spending between $1000 - $1500 on a camera that I will ony use maybe once or twice a month.

I did however look up some prices on the Canon Powershot S5IS, they are between $400 and $600, about what Im after in regards to pricing, and seeing pics of they are capable of, i think im hooked!
