Yes the lower tie bar and the ladder brace will provide sharper steering. In the comments I posted above, they mention improved 'turn in' - read as 'sharper steering'.

For the V-brace, unfortunately it has not been tested on the Protege (or Astina) platform as they needed a small redesign. I would imagine that it would stiffen up the rear for more stability. Not sure how much difference it would make and it may well depend on the spring/shock setup of the rear and what kind of rear swaybar you are using.
