Personally I don't see why anyone would go for a 15" sub unless all they listened to was your standard hip hop. 12" is more versatile and is able to keep up with rock and d&b as well. I have the new Alpine 10" D4 but only because I listen to a lot of metal/hardcore and my old kicker 12" wasn't able to keep up.

To each their own, but the 10" and 15" are more specialised subs, the 12" is your all rounder.
