I'm sorry, i know this is an old thread but....
personally i believe if you are really passionate about the fitness industry, further more comprehensive learning is the way to go ... AIF i guess can get you a sneak peek but if you dont want to be responsible for making someone worse than they were to begin with/ or turn them away from fitness then i suggest a TAFE course which takes more than what is it now 5 weeks to complete is the way to go....
those further things mentioned, time under tension, special pops... its all covered at TAFE.
I'm not commenting on what your prior knowledge might be, but just know that course like AIF are the laughing stock of the industry and what gives us a bad name.
I hope i dont sound like an arsehole, but i'm just sick of seeing all these people come out of a 5 week course, they even have 5 day course at some places and call themselves a personal trainer..... blah... that'll do
