uhhhhhh maybe I'm just getting old ... but there is a legal distinction that used to be in place ... the speed restrictions placed on licences are just that, a licence restriction ... they aren't a road regulation
as such ... if your Ps come from a state that allows learners to do whatever the speed limit is, it doesn't matter where you are in Australia, you drive that limit ...
my age kicks in when I try to remember what the rules are for P platers in the ACT ... I wouldn't the foggiest because I got my licence before many P platers were born ... ack
