Looking good Phil!

Awesome that you got the day off to see the beast come alive!

While I was walking around this evening, I wondered if you were going to have any issues with the alternator.

The FS-DE alternator is regulated by the ECU - and I guess that the FP-DE would be the same. I was worried that if the output of the FP-DE was lower than the 80 Amps of the FS-DE then you might have an issue.

Thankfully they are 80 Amps so I reckon that it will all work fine

Oh, and you were wondering where the extra 4kW of power between the FS-ZE and the Mazdaspeed engines comes from, check out the cam specs between the two in the following link :
