Im leaning towards it being a faulty fuel pump which sometimes doesnt feed enough fuel therefore causing the surging.. im not sure..The maps have all been checked and they are all fine.. has anyone ever had this happen to them??

What sort of RPM are we talkin here? Your not hitting some sort of rev cut are you.
