So under the advice of a member on the forum, i have sent my bp26 head off to be cleaned and stripped down, pressure tested, and port matched. then im taking my series 3 NA head in and they are going to take everything out of it, relap the valves, new shims, check the cams, etc.
so at the end of the day i will have a bg26 head that pressure tested running NA series 3 cams and valves all for much less than $1000.
Ordered my bpt gasket kit to. now just to decide to go with the standard head gasket or something else.
Have to order new piston rings, main bearings, and big end bearings. to rebuild the bottom end. and thats it.... i think lol
so overall ill have a very nice flowing head for my VF10 turbo and a stock bottom end, which should see me get around +200hp. which is all im chasing out of the BPT anyway
EDIT: still have decided on what pistons ill be running yet.. the bpt ones (8.2:1) or my na ones (9.0:1). As they pistons are made from the same quality steel. and the rods are the same too. hmmmmm ideas guys???
