Thumbs up Can i run 18s and lower it?

Hey guys my girlfriend wants to lower her sp20. She wants to get 18s aswell. Ive seen a few picks of the rim just sitting in the guard and thats kinda the look she wants to go for. We don't have enough cash for coil-overs and not to interested in rolling the guard cause i don't want paint problems of it splitting. Anyone know what is actually needed to get this look?

Welcome to astina gt, not sure about the 18s but many members have done it so someone should be able to point you in the right direction.

Welcome to AGT

Anything with a +35 to +40 with a 7-8" width, along with a lowered spring should see the rims sitting on the guards.

I was looking at 18x7.5 not sure of offset. If the wheeltrack is narrower will i have less chance of hitting guards and more chance of hitting the chassis side of things. Whats the height difference in lows and super lows.

Super lows 50mm drop, lows 30mm but hardly noticeable.

18x7.5 +52 offset.

Kyb shocks lowered on autoexe springs with 30mm drop

No Rolled guards and no scrub.

slight stretch on tyre. Running 215/35 R18 tyres.

About 5mm between the shock and rim, so just enough. Lol and about 5mm between the guard and tyre... again... just enough.

when I installed coilovers I went lower... there still wasnt any issues

In the pic there is less than a finger gap between top of tyre and guard.

Actually.. come to think of it.. above pics are on coilovers... but at that stage I had the rear set to the 30mm drop from stock and the front set to a 45mm drop.
