The engine is more Chronos (FE3), can't tell if it has the Mx-5 distributor. It's interesting that it has the Delco Memcal ECU.
The FE3 is a nice choice, it bolts straight inplace of the FE SOHC.

Mmmmm torque.
It's also strange that he has plumbed the coolant from the rear of the engine. A hand full of KIA parts and you have the water neck and thermistat at the front where you can work on them. Id like to know where he found that exhaust manifold, Mazda didn't make enough FE3 turbos that you'd get spare parts.

Nuffink wrong with the HB (except the SOHC 2.0l engine).
12A 6 port should be the minimum engine (and I should know, I had one).

Not mine,
1). I wouldn't put a thermistat housing in a place where you have to remove the engine to work on it when there is an easy solution. 2). I have a turbo waiting to go on but it's on a SOHC manifold. 3). I've changed my steering wheel but you'd never know and I'm not going below 16" as the power steering is dead.
