wiring diags say they are on the 'radio' fuse.
if thats not fixing it take off the door card and check the plug/circuitboard under the switch |

Uses the same fuse as the standard radio.
If you remove that fuse does your (after maket) head unit stop working (DON'T GUESS)?

I didn't ask if the head unit works. I asked if it works with the fuse removed....
I said DON'T GUESS

well if mike buys mirrors with 4 wires (when the BA has 3) and expects me to know if they work then trouble will surely ensue!

hehe was a bit of trial and error. so you think weve shorted something somewhere. what could be the consequence of this?

i think the consequence would be that dan could be harrassed a lot until he fixes it.
the switch is fairly simple and unscrews from the inside of the door card. you should be able to see if something has scorch marks and test for continuity with a circuit tester/multimeter. maybe its a fault with the mirrors ? you could ask the rice shop you got them from |

I've got a four wire harness from my jap spec HB.
It's worth more than a Chicken run DVD and a pair of boxer shorts though
