The SP18 project
Hi guys,
Here are some progress pics of the SP18 project so far. I'm waiting until Saturday for the paint to dry more before putting the spotlights and lower grill piece back in. Note: The is a gap in 3 places on the rear skirt, I need a length of rubber seal to help spread it out evenly to fix it. I haven't designed the SP18 logo yet, so no stickers or seat embroidery as yet. The "323 Astina" door sill scuff plates will go on this weekend too. Other than angel eyes in the foglights, that is the extent of my immediate cosmetic upgrades. The SP18 number plates may go on tomorrow or Friday? AND YES, THE CAR WILL BE LOWERED EARLY NEXT YEAR! |

me likey muchly, ill have to invest in a kit for my car out, so anyone out there with a protege sp20 one doents mind donating therer body kit to a good cause pm me cause Tidy needs a body kit to look lower and glide over the concrete.
All you nee now gav is to lower SP18 and it will look a million bucks, by the way how hard is to wire up them fogs lights and if i was to buy a kit for my car wold the sp0 foglights connect to my current factory foglights. |

The Twig Master B is coming over on Sunday so that I can template his guard liners to make some with built in brake ducts (and CAI for l/h side), my guard liners are now too narrow!
I'm also going to compare our foglight connections to see how complicated mine will be when I get around to doing it. I currently need the front wiring loom and cabin switch (possibly with relay unit) before they will work. Gav. |

i've had my cai for 3 years now and have never had a problem. you just need to drive carefully and keep your eyes open when very very wet.
if you're worried, you could always get an AEM bypass valve : http://www.aempower.com/product_intake.asp |

Hey guys,
I put the front lower grill and number plates on tonight when I got home. Because of committments with house inspections and bad weather I didn't take any photos, but I'll put some up tomorrow night. Gav. |

Thanks Matt,
I'm going to order the Eibach 1.4F/1.2R" (35F/30mmR) drop springs soon. There is lots happening to the car so I have to slow down a bit soon, but the springs are the next big $$$ item before I settle down for a bit. Gav. |

Hey Tidy,
I've been for a ride in Twilight's car and I think the Eibachs are exemplary! Perhaps even better than stock at certain times because they don't float and bounce aroud as much. Even at their worst I didn't think they were worse than stock springs. So they are euqal to better over stock I'd say. I'll see how I go ordering them and then I'll let you know if it was a good deal or not, currently I'm looking at $198usd + s/h... Gav. |

I had no idea but after speaking to a mate there is another very sweet 1.8 323 hatch rolling around sydney with the sp20 bodykit, it would be cool to see the two parked with each other some time to get some happy snaps of the 2 together
