SP20 Instrument cluster into 2003 bj 323 1.8L problem
Good afternoon friends,
I have a bit of an issue im hoping that one of you may be able to help me with. I have a 2003 bj 323 1.8 manual sedan i have bought the white faced Sp20 cluster to install. It has gone in well.all the gauges appear to work but the high beam indicator does not light up. I have swapped the bulb from the original cluster with no success. My question is Is there a wiring pin that need to be moved for this to work or does my sp20 cluster have some sort of internal issue. I know its hard to diagnose over the net but i dont know if perhaps this may be a common fault. Thanks you.its my 1st post so please be gentle with me haha |

The cluster should work as others have done the swap with full function, the other option is using the circuit board from the original cluster, it does involve desoldering the lcd so you can change the green block for the orange sp20 block then solder lcd back in otherwise you'll have green oddometer. I did that for my mazdaspeed protege cluster and all functions correctly.

It might be a JDM cluster - I tried a JDM Sport20 one in my 1.8, and the highbeam didn't work, yet the AUDM SP20 cluster worked correctly.
