Recommended exhaust repair shops in Sydney
Hey everyone, im in town for the week and my stupid exhaust has started knocking at the rear quite badly, I think one of the mounts may have given way but as its dark now to check whats gone wrong and I have no where to check it along with a distinct lack of tools.
Also my mate lives in an apartment in Manly and has no tools or anywhere to work on the car(which BTW is against his rental agreement) So what I wondering is does anyone work in an exhaust shop, or know of one that does a good job cheaply as I might just replace the lot. My rear muffler isn't that old and is still in good condition so it should be reusable if needed. I have a 2.5" exhaust with two resonators and a straight through rear muffler. It may be a bit restrictive ATM as its almost as quiet as stock. I am going to have a look in the morning but as my mate lives in an apartment building he has no tools and no where to work on a car. |

Tony's Mufflers....
Google them, can't find their contact details. But that guy is excellent! Uses mandrel bent exhaust. Has labree, borla, magna flow etc all in stock, top quality job and does it quick to.

I know your in manly, if your prepared to visit penrith. A1 exhaust on coreen avenue do a good job at a good price.
Only a few doors down from wholesale suspension. The person that you want working on your car is Mark. Or the second place is Castle Hill exhaust centre, they did the exhaust job on my car. They do pretty good work at a fair price. P.S. sure it's not your swaybar rear links and d bushes knocking? And another thing.... We still good for Wednesday arvo/night? |

I'll 2nd Caslte Hill Exhaust centre. Did my full EPA pass legal system 3inch into stock rear the way I wanted - the way ASKED. Priced - well IMO correct.
the Rest in sydney are questionable- Liverpool - well 10 yearts ago No worries Now I'd say it's par with some of the rest. Hi-tech were the best or one of few possibly still are moslty only do Stianless and costly. a Few good ones in the manly area but you do pay the 10% MANLY sucker rate. On the other hand go south side you pay the southside rate and if your not right get down south work. Westside mufflers in padstow ain't bad either. Many many places in sydney. All work is variable. Best to drive around getting quotes or email some. I did that with castle hill and he stuck to his price. |

I just called Castle Hill Exhausts and they are fully booked this week. So im going to call around a few places.
I have ripped one of the mounts off the side of the rear muffler which has also ripped the outer skin off the muffler. So it means new exhaust time. I am off to supercheap shortly to buy some wire to twist it round to hold it in place so I can drive the car with out it clunking. |

I have found a place a few suburbs over in Brookvale, There seems to be a few muffler shops and mechanics in that area.
I spoke to a few on the phone and one seemed to know what he was on about so I am off for a quote now as he quoted me a new performance exhaust from $250. Maybe less if we can re use any of my existing system. |

OR better yet if you want a good performance increase straight pipe all the way through, then pop around to kmart while you wait and pickup a set of ear plugs
Let us know how you go

My car heard me say on Saturday that I wasn't intending on spending any more money on it on upgrades so decided to fix itself.
Familiagtx, how loud is the used exhaust and what size is it? |
