ebor has a population of about 10 people........ 12 if you're lucky
i should probably say that when you guys do the coffs thing on saturday, make sure you fill up there, because as far as i remember there is NO 98ron places after coffs to dorrigo, If you fill up in coffs it should get you enough to get to armidale where you can top up again otherwise if you can settle for 95 or 92 then you will have no problems |

I was KIDDING about the maccas
We know that there are limited facilities but we believe we are prepared. Boambee/Bonville both have premium. For those coming from the south up the coast route, fill at Urunga. Or you can top up at Port Macquarie which is about 150k's out of Coffs Harbour. Also, BP Bellingen has 95ron. The inland bunch will have to fill in Armidale and that will give you plenty of fuel for Saturday. Basically, everyone will fill on Friday on the way through/near Coffs Harbour. Cruising on Saturday for the Hills to Sea Cruise is approx. 225k's to return to Dorrigo afterwards via the highway. That's about half a tank, so if you arrive at Dorrigo with at least 3/4 of a tank, you'll be fine. Even then, there will be a fuel opportunity on Saturday afternoon during the cruise or when at the airport for Kitty Kollection and then shopping in Toormina Only the turbo cars will need more frequent refuelling, and even then Chicaboo isn't cruising locally but getting a lift with dr Skitz. As for the Sunday Waterfall run, I've posted it up in the sticky Information thread (yes, it's back). I personally won't worry about Armidale, I'm happy to go back the 'fun' road to Dorrigo - it's one of the top twistie bits in the region. It's a major-ish road so it's well maintained generally, and is much more interesting than the trip from Armidale to Guyra to Ebor. However, those that want to continue on to Guyra & Ebor before returning to base camp, I'm sure newman will be happy to take you. Everyone: Please consider printing all your maps so you have a copy and don't need to rely on each other if we get seperated. Print your route map into and out of Dorrigo, the Saturday Hills to Sea run and the Sunday Waterfalls Run. Mobile phone reception will be patchy so ensure you have an idea of where you're going. Same with the UHF because of the hills. I like to think that no one will be driving irresponsibly or speeding. Being double demerits, it would be a sh1tty way to end the cruise/meet. If everyone stays within sight and the last car has it's headlights on, then we should be ok. Honestly, it's not worth the grief to speed so how about we don't. Also, remember that some drivers are not as experienced and we don't want them trying to drive beyond their limitations in order to keep up. It's up to us to set a good example to our AGT family as well as to the general public who will see the AGT stickers on the cars. I will lay the smaketh down upon anyone driving stupid. No speeding. No blocking lanes or rolling road blocks No hero moves, as our hero Boosted Batman will not be there to save our butts. No screaming sideways corner to corner, we're here to enjoy the region and spending time with our AGT family, so lets keep that as a priority when out on the roads. Lets enjoy ourselves and make a great weekend of it. |

Well folks - after a bit of shuffling tonight it looks like the Canberra crowd is routing to the inland inland route to meet with Chipa and Rupe at Cowra in the morning and then runnign up in a bigger pack... Few more kms but absoluterly no holiday traffic jams to contend with! Yay!

Hi kiddies,
All went well yesterday, except the TX3 copped some weight reduction from grinding the chassis on bumps in the road quite regulary. The VICs got here pretty late, but all safe and sound. Leaving to pick Tina up soon. The weather is looking pretty good, so it should be a nice day for cruising and such. Cheers, Gav on Chris's laptop with weird wireless thingy... |
