February 2 2008 - Summer Slam @ Heathcote
http://www.sportcompact.net.au/round1-08.php
I'll be there with a few surprises and kurt (snert) with his turbo sp23 will be there as well. Best thing about the event this time is that it's planned to go into the night so hopefully that should be good for some low times (and it was stinking hot last year). If you cant make it, all of the 4 rounds this year will be televised on SBS and Foxtel at some point after the event. So is anyone going to come and spectate or even better, race? |

yeah few silly things in the rules - oem suspension? it's more referring to the same mounting points, control arms etc as stock. you're more than welcome to swap spring/shock components so long as the setup is like oem. ie you cant go putting a skyline setup on your astina...so yeah, coilovers are aok. i dont think there is any car there with stock stock stock suspension...
poweradders. turbo/supercharging is considered one (both at the same time is considered one too), n2o is another, adding another fuel after the fuel tank is other one (ie water/meth injection) rear seats can be removed, but the gist of the rules is more inclinded to safety. ie like me, i remove the rear seats and pretty much everything behind there...not that it does much, but it's allowed. more so follow the rule as they state "dash, door panels, headliner and floor coverings are required. 2 front seats required" - everything else is fair game. for the entry form, click on my link and in the "summer slam menu" you'll see it there. just so you know as well, membership is $90 for new members, or $70 for existing members if they join by 18 January. you can enter a race w/o being a member, however double membership, ie $180, will be deducted from your winnings - encouraging people to be a member sooner rather than later. |

cool! i look forward to racing you
how are you heading down? I'm leaving bris on wednesday night (30th) and driving a few hours. a biggish day on thursday and get there on friday (trying to make the friday a small day's drive). race saturday. head home sunday/monday. kurt is doing much the same as well. let me know if you want to convoy etc. power adders. basically it's things on top of NA. so a full blown $50k NA engine is deamed to have no power adders. add a turbo and you've got one. add a supercharger as well and you've still gone 1. add n2o and you've got 2 power adders. add water/methanol injection and you'll have 3 power adders (and therefore have too many) |

might be a few late nights in it for me, but luckily there are still 2 weekends before i have to leave anyone else going to enter? |
