Help: Problem with acceleration

Hi,

I own a Mazda Eunos 800.

This is the V6 2.3L supercharged model.

When I put my foot down half way...no problem.

Smooth power delivery.

When I plant my foot to the floor the car starts "shunting" it wants to deliver power and tries too...but then backs off.

Hence the "shunting" motion backwards and forwards.

What could this be related too?.

The engine management system?
The fuel pump?
Faulty injectors?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, before I take it too a mechanic.

Cheers!

Blair

My experiance on these cars it could be a number of issues -- have you had a cambelt done on the car recently -- could be plugs or vac lines split or on the incorrect way -- could be injectors ,fuel pump or coil packs or dizzy --- check codes -- word of advise dont take it to a place that doesnt know the car the 800m and FD rx7 so many mechanics have stuffed up and it takes ages to fix the problem cause they wont tell anyone what they touched... I have worked on these cars since they were brought out .
