Yeah only problem is that the nice caravan parks are all out on the point. Its about 50-hr 10 according to google maps to the start of any good twisty roads.

Myall lakes is a little too short for you NSW-lers though isn't it? Only a 3 hour drive. Whereas its a nice 9 hour one for the QLD'ers

Maybe for the people in Sydney, I'm only 1 hour away from there, I literally have to drive from my drive way 600m to a roundabout, turn right drive another 600m and turn left at that round about then head north on the highway for next 58mins
But if people are coming from Vic aswell well then it should be a central place so it's roughly the same distance/time for people from Qld and Vic, Its not a matter of Nsw and Qld, it's everyone getting together from all states/territories |

If you wanna be really accurate I think the top left of NSW is the fairest. But then again there's nothing there But Sydney just happens to be smack in the middle of the two... Last edited by himynameisbunny; 25-09-2012 at 05:11 PM. |

Cos you're only applying your thinking to two states. Attendees will come from more than two states.
But then again, maybe not? Maybe some VIC and SA members could chime in. Otherwise it very well could be in the middle of Sydney and Brisbane. p.s. Was a date even set yet? |

Here's an Idea..
Pick a location in any of the 3 eastern states, and alternate states every year. That way everyone gets cut some slack in regards to driving. Do remember, its all about meeting up in one location, total driving shouldnt matter. If members from other states come for the drive (or even fly and peeps take turns in driving people around) then thats awesome!

Kinda works, kinda doesn't. As locations may change each year. I'd just look at places half way between Syd+Bris and Mel+Syd and alternate it yearly or bi-yearly.
Still keen to try Wootton Way aka Bulladeluh Bends. All the Northcoast MX5 peeps always ravs about it. And The Lakes Way supposedly is a good sunday drivers road. The dude that brough my 8 MS-01Rs owns a hotel on Bulladeluh. Want me to get into contact with him? Although hotel might not work as normally no cooking facalities. There is also a place called Myall shore that has dorm style/school camp accomodation. Massive big C shape cpmplex with 2x2 bunk rooms and bbq area in the centre of it.
