Repositioning A/C on BPT/BPD to fit custom dump?
I'll be wanting to reposition this on a BG Astina btw
Has anyone tried or known anyone to have successfully repositoned the A/C compressor on the BP engines when using custom dump pipe? I have seen it done before but not specifically on the BG Astina. Since they nose dive sharply @ front I couldn't imagine much room to raise it to another location. I know I would need to fit a different access belt once it is lined up but that's ok. I will have a big enough job positioning the FMIC I have anyway so, just another job haha...... Really, really luv to keep the aircon fellas. bastad without it

Ive got 3" dump on my BG turbo with AC compressor in factory location. Cant say the same for my BF though, has standard dump and almost hit AC compressor already. Did have a BF with 2.5" dump but with no compressor.

If you don't end up getting it in with the stock A/C pump. Don't be afraid to find a shorter smaller pump some another car and fit it.
It will all still work might not be as efficient but it will do the job. The unit on BP in a BA and the ones on the FS and FP are a lot more closer to other units from other cars. Compared with units I've tried to fit. |
