Changing auto for manual
So i have ended up with a rough v6 astina (manual) that has got a dented floor rail so my chosen roadworthy inspector wont pass it for registration.
I found a cheap auto transmissioned v6 that looks pretty good. Needs a few odds and ends to get it roadworthy, but I have most of them from the one I already have. A question for the gurus - can i swap the auto for the manual box without body modifications? If i have all the components in the donor car is it all just bolt on bits? Or do i need to cut holes in the firewal and make mounts for the clutch pedal etc? I am a competent, experienced Mechanix but living out in the sticks a bit I never get the oportunity to look over many Astinas myself. Peter |

Everything is pretty interchangeable, but you'll need swap pretty much everything in front of the firewall

So all just bolt on.
With a 2 complete donor cars - 1 manual, 1 auto - I should be right then? Thanks |
