installing a sub with the stock unit
hi guys, looks like i might be getting a free sub soon, its one of the fusion ones with the inbuilt amp, I was wondering if its possible to use it with the factory headunit or do i have to install a completely new headunit to use it? any help would be much appreciated

I'm using the exact same Fusion sub/inbuilt amp with my factory radio/tape deck. You just need to tap into the speaker wires, either the front pair or the rear pair, and feed that tap into the amp along with 12v and run the remote wire off a switched 12v source which I found by tapping into the radio loom.

Anything that is 12v on ACC. I tapped one of the wires in the headunit loom.
