SP20 - Aftermarket Front Strut Brace - Who Has One And.........
Alright.
I just want to know who have installed any aftermarket front strut brace, what ever the brand is, I just want to know once installed what did you do to secure the air con pipe ? Because with the original the 2 black brackets that hold the red brace, drivers side has 2 clamps (I think) attached and secure the aircon pipe so it's tight and from moving. Or did you just leave it loose ? if so is it safe ? Noise from movement while driving ? Thanks. |

I have autoexe 3 point brace and re-fastened the a/c pipe with original hardware, I inverted the black firewall bracket though.

All good.
Last week went to a wrecker and grabbed a bracket that's on the 1.8L/1.6L version (not a sp20) the bracket worked perfectly, just did a little cutting on bracket so brace doesn't push it down. Painted it black and came out great. Because when I searched on Google to see a few SP20 with aftermarket braces a fair few just have the pipe hanging on its own with no bracket, but I wanted something safer in case. |
