Just wondering... I was told last time I did a service that break disks (not quite sure which ones - rear or front) are on their allowable limits and may need to be changed at the next service (next month). Disk are expensive, over $190 each for the front, and $260 each for the rear. I don't wanna be ripped off so I'm wondering if many people have had their break disks replaced and which one's gave them the trouble (wobble) in the first place - front or rear ?? Is it easy to find out which are causing wobble - rear or front disks ?? Any advice would be much appreciated.
I'm driving a 1996, Astina, BA chassis, 1.8L hatchback. later, mike[/colorost_uid1] |

80% of the braking is done by the fronts so they are the
ones that usually wear out. Go to www.discpads.com.au slotted are $128 each and standard are $90 each. Hope that helps Regards Mal[/colorost_uid1]

Sorry slight mistake. Those prices were for rear.
Fronts are same as Laser DBA533 so prices are $108 slotted and $84 std. Regards Mal[/colorost_uid1]

Thanks for the info. What would be the difference besides the price between slotted and standard ?? If I were to get a pair for the front and go to Ultratune or someone like that, do recon they'd accept to change them over ?? I don't want them to waste my dime and investigate which rotors need replacing, and then tell me the obvious ... Sorry if its a stupid question ??
thanks, Mike[/colorost_uid1] |

BTW. How did you get the part number for the rotors. This may be another silly question ?? The online selector for parts does not exactly have the listing for a 1996, 323 BA 1.8L hatch, shades ... What would be equivalents ??
thanks, Mike[/colorost_uid1] |
