thanks pete
also i forgot to say that i have decided to got with a BG NON-powersteering rack. I bought one off "Soul" about a month ago as he was parting out his FE3 Bg saden and it had this rack in it. wasnt sure if i wanted to put it in but now im going to.. it will give me more feel on the track and it will make the engine bay look alot more clean and tidy without those PS pipes running all over the engine bay. some picture of what i have done so far; this is my moto on the right and Ice88's motor on the left. here is how much **** i have i think i give ryan and dan a run for the money.. and that about 80% too. still have another ute full at dads place lol. also here is a video of my new front v6 astina hubs with my eunos calipers. lucky i still had my SP20 J48 rims unde the old mans place so i thru them on and WOW not much clearence between caliper and rim hahaha

so havent done much in the past few weeks dew to the new house and the 5 coats of clear I have done to both the spare rooms to fix the polished floor boards. GRRR
pulled out the dummy motorand my toyota gearbox. Now the gearbox is ready for its internals Also while i was at it i cleaned the enginebay. The previous owner let a battery leak (look like it exploded) all over the pssanger side of the engine bay. so im going to be respraying the hole engine bay. ive cleaned it up asbest i can with out using the preasure wash.. will do that tomorow and tow it to the spray painters. im hoping it looks good when its done.. im not after a 110% perfection job otherwise i would be welding up all the hole that arent being used) just something that makes it look tidy for now

What ratio, do you know, is the bg non power rack?
Ive gutted three ba power racks now and they all vary in tooth count/pitch but wind up the same three turns lock to lock. The non-power bg rack, while (i assume) would be a longer throw, you'd benefit from the solid pinion and gain decent feedback through your palms, without the seal/lube issues im dealing with now. Drop in fit on a ba? |

Once all that c®ap is out it looks way cleaner.
Its funny looking into a standard bay now and thinking how the hell you got into there to play with it. Plenty of weight gone too and (if you get rid of aircon compressor) there is plenty of space for turbo down pipes and the like. You could fit a bl##dy t51 down there! |

Update time.
so i had a really bad day yesterday, so i thought to myself ill work on my motor. I had to do it sooner or later as i wasn’t sure how the head would go on after all the issues with Kris’s head. so after cleaning all the threads, installing the ARP head studs, i put the head on and torque up the studs to 70nm. This wasn’t as simple it seems lol. As I started torque-ing up the head studs, they started to slip. Immediately I was worried due to the past history with Kris’s motor. After further investigation Phill (who dropped bye to show off his hairdresser car) noticed that the socket I was using was only 6 sided.. These head studs where a 12 or 18 sided nut.. So Kris drove home to get his set of sockets and BAM the head torqued up perfectly haha. Then I got bored and test fitted the cam gears that I have had for about 2 years now..

Just ned to get some DBA sotted rotors and start bolting it together haha.
