Oh marcy

Lip is at the panel beaters. Getting some plastic weld on the crack and painted BLAAAACKKK! The apprentice is working on removing the rest of the stickers. I told him good luck. Worth paying the extra $20 imo haha

Also getting my rear wing and LHS mirror re-painted next week when he's doing the lip at the same time. All up is going to cost me $250... Hopefully i get paid by then!

He'll probably just use a high-pressure washer to lose the stickers!

It took me 3 long, yet fun hours sticking all 250 stickers on that lip!

ok, ok, ok, ok. Im slightly annoyed.

The lip has been at the panel beaters all week. Today was the day it gets painted (Finally) I was also getting some other things done. like my back spoiler and my mirror. I went and picked my car up about 10 minutes ago. Spoiler and mirror is painted. Im happy. However, the lip has a crack and needs plastic welding. Turns out, its a mysterious japanese plastic they don't know what it is, therefore nothing will stick to it. Therefore, can't be fixed, THEREFORE, broken...throw away. Now i've asked Marc and he should hopefully be my miracle and know/remember where he got it from/something!

Apart from that. My car is disgustingly dirty. Not happy at them. Seriously. Dirt from asshole to breakfast time.

Here's the crack

Here's my car. Not happy at the dirt. Inside has ****ing dust everywhere too.

Happy shiny painted mirror. $20 to paint! haha

Happy shiny painted spoiler...

I bet they dont wanna deal with it... As the lip is pretty awkward to paint.

Lol yeah what they said!! ^^^^
They just don't wanna do it..
It's just a urethane lip... Not that hard to weld.
And if they didn't want to weld they could just fiberglass it anyway.

From what Ben has told me over facebook, the bloke doing the work doesnt know how to properly plastic weld, so hoping for his sake another reputable panel beater will have it looking prime once again soon

Oh and Aaron, its ABS Plastic, not urethane like the copies

The weird thing is he actually showed me it not sticking.. I'll go to a big one tomorrow. I just went down to old maties local small town one cause well, it was $100 cheaper lol...he paints brilliantly though, he's done dads car when a huge rock smashed into it. No problems there.

Good news. Lip is now at a "Body shop" (not a panel beater) - where they specialise in body kits. I went to a few and none of them wanted to touch it, however one bloke told me about someone who worked for him and he was super awesome at plastic welding. So i went and saw him. Couldn't be more helpful, he said it can be done even though its on the corner and he said he would make it look like new... Not only this, he was the cheapest! So it's left with him, should be able to pick it up in a week.

He also said he will install it for me for nothing which is nice

It will be in the books one day marc. Keen to get sway bars first.

None of this can happen yet though. Need to spend $1000 in getting teeth removed. Yay...Not.
