That front bonnet latch support brace thingy you've got chopped there, you reckon it's needed at all?
It gets in the way of my oil cooler placement. I was thinking of chopping it shorter than you did for the latch, but making new braces that hold oil cooler and replace this bit at same time. Chop or chuck? |

Oh yeah that's Right I think we were talking something about them over the liberty convert frame thing.
PS - that support beam is very important to the top of the radiator frame/mount. In that it spreads the load of both weight when you drop the bonnet and lift it up/ the pull from air at high speed. you won't find the bonnet lift up the pressure can pull the Rad support from square and flat on some cars to a nice point in the middle or if you like some Silly Nissan owners wonder why it gets harder to close the bonnet each time and then why does my A/C core have leak in it. If you attach it to the cooler make sure you the cooler at the bottom somewhere. It's amazing how many Auto tranny coolers get replaced but unlike factory, last ten years they come back often due to poor fitting. Only reason I love SUV owners in the city. |

Either side of the latch there are now two braces that mount the oil cooler and replace the middle one.
I hacked the bottom bit off and kept the top bit to continue bracing the latch. Hacking Matts thread too. Sorry pal! |
