wired up my interior neons. got a nice glow now
and i pulled my headunit apart and re-soldered a few things, my ipod connection wasn't working. Saved me the trouble of getting it replaced, just fixed it myself |

over last few weekends
Installed complete Kenwood setup - dvd - tv - bluetooth(V2) navigation - new under lay - new carpet. Rewired small bits. Install recondtioned interior trim, install - JDM parts off Japan modle Capella Wagon - S/S Sills - cargo tray - mazdaspeed add - ons. More recently Repair drivers window- create new gear drive from Alloy - machined it up. It then broke balls - So Bought a new regualtor lift setup off mazda - $150 trade - motor was an extra $450 - did not buy - Trade price. Used a new motor I had sitting in my spares parts from a 1986 model 2door 626 coupe. rear window - new in box just it was broken but motor was in top condition. Reset camber and castor - was out - Now has even 1.9neg left side and 2 degree Neg on right hands side and approx 2.8 Positive castor. I'd like more castor really. Rewired adaptronic to control A/C - A/C idel control now ECU and WOT shut off. Now Headlights need rewire to ECU. So minor little problems still occuring. |

got dru's exhaust installed at Midas... i know not usually smart, but i did it so they could give it some new gaskets, bolts etc plus im lazy and live on a steep hill.
wired up my speakers, removing old corrosion to find the positive or negative sign on the old speakers.... mmm crusty cardboard. found a family of spiders living in my suspension... 10mm from my face. got my headunit installed by audio excellence in campbelltown due to lack of wiring harnesses and being lazy... they charged 100 dollars to do a sub-par job and will be complained to as of tomorrow.... the headunit was not even secured ... and has already fallen out. thank god for warranty's. failed to replace door trim today due to frustration. need to write shopping list for this job, 6 pack of coke, pack of cigarettes, fiance to friends house (stops be barking and getting in trouble), someone else to do the job while i sit in a chair and watch a dvd. ps. dru, your exhaust is very very nice for the price, full thanks, not loud, not obscene, sounds brilliant and looks to stop interest from coppers! |

So i pretty much finished my valve cover.
all hand work so far, but i have parts for my dremel, but theyre a little small, need bigger ones. but for that i might as well get some mega big ones for my bench grinder. this is 45 minuites work from stock, ugly, covered in grime and corrosion that you saw in my "look what i can do with my hands" post in here not long ago. all up used about 20 dollars worth of stuff (3 sheets of sandpaper, and half a tube of autosol) i love it, still more work to do, plans are still for more to be polished, got some white touch up paint for the engine bay, some black paint etc etc. ill keep you posted. from this id love to know what i can do with a bench polisher and actually taking the part off my car! |

Well Gav and I got stuck into pulling out my original intake and fitting up a Simota twin charger cai, and all I can say is WOW, performance is up, free revs, and best of all sounds so awesome when you put down the loud pedal

150,000km is nothing on a ba astina. they are anywhere between 10-15 years old depenind on the year of manufacture. i have 247,000km on my 11 year old ba astina.
