Respray comming later in the year.
Long term plans for the Mazda are undecided... Depends on a few factors... Dad is looking at buying a 2011+ R35 GTR So if that happens I will buy his sexy and imacc 300zx from him. Keep the mazda with the stock FS-de and pour money into the 300 (as you do) But if that doesn't (if dad can't stop spending money on his bloody twin 325 hemi cruise boat) then I will do the Kl swap )

Oh yeah, forgot this thread was for plans as well, not just next car.
Eh, have a list as long as my arm for all three cars currently in the household.

i know a bloke who has a 4x4 which still goes offroad (you know, its getting rather rare these days!)
plans, grow money tree... finish astina. BPT 150Kw ATW plus some technology like remote keyless entry / start, cameras, leds, touchscreens, arduino, cruise control... I havent seen a new car I actually like yet. the trim quality compared to the 90's just seems flimsy and cheap... especially from what mazda is selling.

Yeah I know.. And way to expensive. Not a huge fan of the RB (sound hot tho )
1jz is fairly common. 2jz is still done a bit. 1uz would be niceeer And by a little less torque I meant down low in the rpm range as compared to a 2jz

in no particular order
- respray/touch up existing paint - retrim - get the speedo recalibrated - get a new HU as the old one hasn't enjoyed being in such a low car! - fit + paint the wing i have for it (lol) - finish the custom headlights - order some gauges for the billet dash holder i have Have also fitted some custom LED taillights to it lately. And just drive it more. The Protege is the easy choice, so have been driving that lately

i think most things made post 1999 is just cheap and crap. if you think about it...
60's-70 simple cars with little to no accessories. built with steel some made by hand. 80's came the cheaper panels, more common fuel injection, more accessories, still strong. 90's better engines, a little bit more curves to the body, companies competing against one another by building awesome engines and awesome cars, more accessories you dont need, the era of after market parts, 00' more economic... very curvy body, less power, flimsy interior panels, less competition with power and more competition with the environment.... boring cars 10' what the f... ugly concepts. hybrids (i know it was before this date), barely any new sports cars, partnership cars! WHY! (because money)

wow, good to hear a lot of you's want to keep your astina's when I bought this car I was originally looking to buy a BK2 SP23 because I fell in love with the shape, and then later on upgrade to the mps (same shape), however I really like that white Protege5 from the U.S owned by Brian_MP5T or something, love the white and the retrim on the inside but I'd want it for a Daily so if I could make anything over 150kw atw then I'd be happy, my mate told me if I wanted to I could keep the SP20 but if im paying for a respray (probably by 2sus) then I might as well go all out and do something really nice with the car, otherwise buy an unthrashed MPS or a series 8 Rx7...

It's a Classic and Nice people drive VW's (classics- Karman ghia's - bettles and split window Combi's )
Never defeacted - Trust me on this. I'm not posting something about my evil Combi days. or Hippie days either. (drugs were good back then and safe) Well I've been thinking about a new car. Problem is Two things 1 - I Don't like anything post 1995 unless it's something that don't need anything. EG AMG E55 estate etc. 2 - I can fix anything - yet new cars don't make it easy and I'm getting to OLD ( yeah even at a young age ) But mainly BUSTED to do most of the work. Yet of course as we all know you can't trust anyone with your car. This leaves me with - I get something that does it all Biggest problem they don't make such a car or at least - reliable and affordable. So for me - I need a Wagon or similar to carry Bikes ( I hate bike racks) Needs reasonable POKE- EG must kick a taxis' arse day in day out by 10 car lengths. AUTOMAJIC. - I'm too ****ed now to use a clutch daily. I'm so lazy in traffic I sometimes leave it in 1st all the way to 65km/h to the next traffic lights. So I've found 2nd hand CALDINA - STEAGA - (all RB's ) VE BERLINA (V8 only will apply) thought about Legnum but it's mitsubishi. V70's and V70 R But there is another side for me. I have too many car anyway. Might make the Lexus a Daily. Yet I think hmm for the price a new Gs250 yeah it's only a 250 but my job is moving and having to drive down the M5 every day. the economy with luxury ? But then I realised hmm Last of the V8 GS's with the 8 speed box. Or I could push my boss for a fleet car. but I don't think I could depart with the wagon. Even thought about Auto conversion and back to total merchanical standard. We will see but. |
