I use Royal Purple in the SR20DET (10-30W) and in the Astina i used GTX2 (20-50W)
The Royal Purple is brilliant, serviced the car as soon as it got into my garage (after the drive from sydney) and put this stuff in, just changed it again and i tell you what, the engine is clean!!!..the oil is dirty,...but dam the engine is clean...

i had been running Nulon 15W-50 in my BPT motor and it was fine, but this time i used royal purple 10w-40 and what a difference! motor feels smoother and i could swear the turbo is spooling faster. definitly worth the extra cash for a turbo motor.

Using Penrite HPR10 10w50 semi synthetic here for my BPD turbo.
Been pretty good to me, the cold 10 visocosity is reasonably low yet still within spec for the engine so good oil flow on a cold engine with a good hot viscosity thats more resistant to shear than a 40 if using the turbo a lot. Plus it's Penrite, an aussie company so helps to support the economy. I used Castrol GTX3 for a while & thats a good oil too. Can get a 5.5L value bottle thats exclusive to SuperCheapAuto for the same price as a normal 5L bottle that the other stores sell. If it were a non turbo B series engine I'd probably just go with Penrite 15w40 Everyday Driving Oil.

Now using 15w40 Premium Gold by Gulf Western. Just as good if not better then GTX3, plus it's Aussie made & owned
We just lost the Bridgestone factory here, lets not lose anymore jobs..
