Even if you were a skilled fabricator and could make all of the mounts etc... I think the Astina would be too heavy for a 12A

i think 7onyd has the best idea if you want to go turbo
the BPT is a BP remember just with a few differentese plus you could build it how you want and probly produce more power for less money (maybe) |

the BG would have been modified to fit the B6T. Won't go straight into your car. Trying to save you alot of hassle. Also. 3 grand is way too much......you can have my heavily modified BF for that as I still havn't put it together again yet due to no time & funds going towards the Merc bugger it. My point is the GT is worth far more with low k engine, BPT loom, dizzy, injectors, Microtech stand alone, VF10 hybrid, custom pipes. FMIC etc etc. That alone is worth the 3k haha!
Be diligent with your searching dude & patient. There on EBay frequently enough. If you sourced one from Importer. It will be low klm. Not reco'd unless paperwork is supplied. The B6T I landed was a rare find that actually was in great nick. Still you have to be careful

Oh Hai!
my 3rd gear was burning and I thought I might pop in here.. the b6t.. honestly I wouldn't bother the power & torque that you would get out of it isn't all that impressive I have driven stock B6T and stock BPT powered cars, the BP shats all over the 1.6 plus you would need to customize engine mounts, and change over a heap of wiring to make it work. there was a forum member over on fl.com who spent alot of dollars getting it into the car (laserb6t) to be honest, find a BPT engine or even a half cut it is literally a complete drop in the only thing that needs to be modified on the car to fit the standard BPT + loom + ecu, is just 2 wires. Yep! 2 single wires need to be spliced together to make the car run = fuel pump relay as the standard GTX ecu is setup to control 2 fuel pumps out of the 4wd's and if you know your way around your car, you could have your old motor out and new BPT installed in a day to the point of almost being able to be driven. if you cannot source a BPT then your next option would be to purchase BP twin cam engine (a bonus in itself due to no flow restrictions in the head), get your hands on some BPT cams or even get a custom grind spend $800 and get a set of forged pistons $150~ on some b6t rods get a BPT sump or have yours modified undo some bolts on the block and fit some oil and water feed lines... aaaand now i'm getting carried away, I haven't spoken to him in a while but my323 was wrecking his Astina and had a motor for sale since i've rambled on a fair bit now and probably have confused the crap out of you a nutshel b6t = mind boggle for fitment, regardless if it has been fitted to another astina (I'd like to see pics of this) BPT/D = direct drop in |

I've contacted "Clark racing" to get the not engine swapped into mine, and mine into the other one. He said I'd have no car for a week!!
