pffft no because most companies iv spoken to would not insure for a agreed value thats twice that of the car, no matter what it has in it..
im happy to pay that much instead of 800 for a 21yr old for 7K-8K tops.. |

i have a friend who used his mum as the main insurer, he was just listed as a 2nd driver. 4 years later, he was still a rating 6. $15K, good luck trying to get that out of them if it is written off. market value for them is $5,500. plus your mods. which to insurance companies means nothing to them. --- i pay $635 for mine. it is due this coming november. depending on how much justcar raises the premium, i might go back to only fire+theft. it's worth $5K, i've paid $1900 in insurance in the past 3 years. more than the cost of any repairs to my car in those 3 years. but then again, you gotta be paying insurance for you raiting to get better. so maybe paying the high premiums early in life is worth it later on in life. pay more now, save more later. |

Im 34 and pay $62 a month thru Suncorp. I have 18 years no claims bonus.
Its not a good idea insuring your car under your mums name because if the insurance company finds out its your car and you drive it most of the time they can deny your claim. I have heard of insurance companies sending investigators to talk to your neighbours. You are also not building your own no claims bonus even if you are a listed driver with most insurance companies. |
