Ryan, its not like you'd drive south these days anyway, be fair too! I can't see a weeknight cruise happening for me, due to early start times. A Friday or Saturday night however may work better.

Some weekends you plan.
Some weekends get planned for you. Some get taken up at the last minute. And some just disappear. Great that some have the freedom - enjoy it while you have it

On topic:- This thread is so funny. It's like cruises haven't ever happened before and people are planning newly invented things. Monthly cruises are nothing new. Have a read through the various pages in the QLD section. You'll find massive amounts of cruises that have already be done. When I wasn't an old man, I was planning 75% of them. And before me, Nate was planning 75% of them. Have a look at those old cruises/events, copy them, modify them, will make anyone organising a new one an easy job. It's not you are re-inventing the wheel. Cruises ain't anything new. Just requires one person to stand up, pick and date, route, post it up (at least a month early). Go and enjoy from there... Ugh, seriously guys..I've somehow upset everyone because I'm not willing to do a 3+ hour round trip every month. Are you? No. I'm not saying don't do it, go ahead guys, as much as I love you all, i don't need to be there every time. I try to come to as many things as possible, but as some guys have said life just happens. I work, go to uni and have a social life as well. (might be hard to believe )
It's not like I'm not willing to travel. I never said I wasn't, last week I saw Brisbane 3 times. I just merely stated I don't want to go to the gold coast ones because it's not worth my time. Then because someone mentioned the sunshine coast run, I'll come to that one. You've twisted my words and made a assumption that I'll only go to the one which is closer to home. Not true. Most of you qld guys can vouch that I make a effort to hang out in a carpark and speak crap. I will make a effort to go on a cruise in that direction just as much. I'm not going to be replying anymore until we get back to the actual topic. |

Suggestion: If the North Coast guys want to, they could carpool from Springwood onward for say a Gold Coast/Hinterland cruise, perhaps? This also gives you someone to talk to and lets you get a chance to take photos.

Ben. Youve upset no one. I was just making a point that has been blown out for no reason.
