There isnt alot of off the shelf items for the 1.6 so will either need to go custom or spend some time working out what will swap from its twin or the BP engines.
It isnt stock frizky AFAIK just means its been replaced. |

i was looking at protegegarage, and was wondering if these would be a worthwhile purchase: http://siteground207.com/~protegeg/p...products_id=81 http://siteground207.com/~protegeg/p...roducts_id=650 yeh or nah? |

those hoses have a great bling factor but no real point at this stage IMHO. That intake looks sex, would probably sound great too. As with all mods, they work together to a common goal, each individual part wont gain a huge amount but net overall it will make a noticable difference

if the kits for a 1.6 it WILL work. simple. bolt in.
how does you boot hatch line up with the bumper? my rear bar was originally from a bj famillia hatch and didnt fit on mine at all, the mazdas stuck out a lot more, and it wouldnt fit right. plus the hatch gap was off at the bottom, and the whole bumper looked funny... so they had to remove the lip and modify it too fit onto the ford one. superlows or just lows? coz your car seems to be lower with the wheels in the gaurd than mine, yet i have lovells lows?

edit that intake wont work.
here is all that is specifically for the 1.6 http://siteground207.com/~protegeg/a...ds=1.6+protege but as far as i know the weaponR one is discontinued. also cosmo racing do an intake but iv spoken to them a few times and its 199 us delivered, but i never worried as i dont have paypal and thought it would be too hard to get. if your interested might get a deal on 2?

any one know if there are aftermarket cams that can go in our cars? Id love the laser to sound lumpier, so if it doesnt have any power, it will sound good at least! Lol

couldnt answer that sorry.
But why not just make up your own CAI like Brisbane_boy has down? Yeah it looks a little out of field, but would think it'd work well, plus you join the hoover club If your after something a little more classy, have a looksie at mws78's readers rides

Ive already answered your question in regards to similiar engines, however the cams wont work as its a different head.
And all you need do is grab a set of cams and get them reground. (as ryan said) Last edited by Ice88; 18-08-2009 at 03:49 AM. |
