well that maybe a problem too... the F series and G series slave cylinders are very different... perhaps the clutch isn't disengaging properly?

Things he needs for this swap

Possibly rear mount, need to wait until the bottom gearbox mounting plate is fitted back up. may just need a couple of holes drilled to match or see if the BG plate fits(probably not though)

left top mount or adapter plate to match the mounting bolt pattern

speedo drive or adapter, original BG box has cable speedo, BA has electronic
the F series box has a longer shaft on the speedo drive
is there an adapter to fit the BG cable drive to convert to electronic sensor or a shorter electronic sensor to fit G series in a BA

At the moment he bodgeyed it up with spacers to make it fit... not sure how well it will seal or even if the speedo gear meshes with the drive gear in the box....... shhhhh don't say nothin.... but I am impressed with his ingenuity and ability to do all this work by himself

The boy rebuilt the CV shafts using G series inners and BA shaft and outers so the lengths are still the same

everything else is a direct bolt up as the gearbox was originally with this box in the daughter's BG, including the larger clutch, pressure plate and matching flywheel

only if it's a BG G series
the newer ones are strong enough for some turbo abuse

my mate was pushing more than 17psi on his MP3 here with a regular G series open diff... was fine the whole time... he broke gears instead of the diff!

he recently upgraded to an M factory diff, then his engine got stuffed... always something, isn't it?

right. well it does work, the bottom mount plates bolts up perfectly, the speedo works, everything else bolts up and works, still need a top mount for the gearbox, but other wise it fits
