Ok time to kick this thread up a bit.
20th July is not good. We should shoot for the 12/13 or 26/27. Please register your interest now so we can get organising. Considering most of us are either going to be coming from the Sydney CBD (or there abouts) and Canberra CBD then we should probably try to organise somthing where the two groups can meet up in the middle. I was thinking possibly somthing like Ulladulla which is roughly 3hrs south of Sydney and would be roughly 3hrs from Canberra. Should be able to find somewhere in ulladulla to cook up some lunch. Snags and rolls sounds like a plan. The other possibility is half way down the highway to canberra but this is quite a boring drive. We might want to consider making it a weekend event as a 6hr round trip is a bit in one day. Not impossible but somthing to consider. I personally dont mind the trip, the road south is quite enjoyable. Show of hands please kids and please post your thought, suggestions and leave the funny business in some other thread

My opinion on this is that i think there should be a cruise held north for a change, ive travelled south for every cruise now,and i think it would be fair if we had 1 this way for a change guys
Maybe around the Entrance/terigal/gosford area, its a really nice place

I'm easy with direction and date - Uni break till end of July.
I'm in Hornsby / north-west sydney so north is better as dont have to trek across all of Sydney. Pac Highway from Berowra to Gosford is still my fav stretch of road, but gotta be careful on weekends with bikes (push) around blind corners and more traffic. That way we can pick up coasties at Terrigal, and continue up to newcastle somewhere unless Theo (and others) wants to meet us down there too and head inland somewhere.

Yo peeps, I'm also on Uni hols after Tuesday, and back from Katoomba on Sunday, so anytime before August is fine. As I come from the entrance/terrigal/gosford area, I would defiantley prefer to have the cruise North of Sydney. Not necessarily on the Central Coast, anywhere between Sydney and Newcastle is fine with me, oh, wait that pretty much IS the Central Coast, oh well . SO basically:
* Anytime after next Sunday (provided it's a weekend, not weekday). How about the 12 and/or 13th of July? That seems to be a commonly available date? * Anywhere between North Sydney and Newcastle, just not too far West

OK, despite the fact I'm not really organising this, I'm making an executive decision. Mainly because I'll be out of touch for the next week, so I can't cop any flak for it (   ).
The date is the 12th of July. Destination will be ... up to you lot to figure out! I'll just tag along. Oh, just had a thought, if any of you are one of the coffe drinking set (like me), I know a GREAT place to stop, parking cold be difficult though. Ceasars, along (222) The Entrance Road at Erina, great coffee. Ciao, I'm off to do my last exam, then to freeze my balls off at Jenolan Caves for the rest of the week.

At this stage I have this:
When: Saturday 12th July 2003. Time: 12:00pm Meeting Place:Bell Street McDonalds- Cnr St Goerges Rd & Bell Street, Preston Why don't some AstinaGT guys come join in? With the crew at ACAP, heading off to Jeff's shed for MAS, prob the bulk of the arvo I guess. There is a tentative evening at a Greek restaurant, dunno at this stage whether that is for Friday or Sat nite, likely Sat. Sunday......who knows. Will be in Melbourne Friday but have some appointments lined up from 10am into the arvo. I'll be staying at Nunawading.

Nunas goes alright... that's pretty close to Dan, Trav and myself.
Not sure about meeting up at bell st maccas. if you go inside to get some food, your car will be on bricks when you get out! that or you will have a canary sticker for having .005 mm of tread under the limit. |
