Hi Dan I've been looking for more info on this and can't find any specifics. I need another set of rear discs and if I can upgrade to help match the front ones it would be good. The SunOS 500 I have are slightly bigger but have the wrong offset to bolt onto the hub. So. What is this spacer and did it come off the mx5 sp? Thanks!

rear nb8b rotor bracket has been tried by cosmo dude. was fail fail due to fitment and offset was totally incorrect.
also wouldn't work with you setup. its a 4 stud setup. you'd have to look at earleir model mazda or similar rotors and get a bracket made up for a larger rotor. Last edited by project.r.racing; 06-06-2013 at 04:12 PM. |

I tried a bracket that was designed for the flyin Miata 11" brake kit. The offset on their rotor is different. Rupewrecht and Aaron have the Mazda bracket on their BA/Lynx which they then had a little fun getting 5-stud disks that fit, 4-stud would be the OEM disk.

just realized i never put up s comment about the original wilwood idea. i canned it due to USDM and AU/JDM calipers rotors being so out of wack thickness wise, to make it work was become cost prohibitive.
the idea now is to just us the NB8B rotors (F+R) with the original calipers on brackets. if the rear calipers do not accept the extra 1mm thickness, then use MX5 rear calipers. |

I got mine from Mazda - as i said, it's the caliper spacer as used on the MX-5 SP. I used a rear disc from the Mazda6 machined down to 276mm.

STUPID QUESTION/'s ALERT
1 - is that pad area bigger on the mx5 calipers??? and if so by how much more 2 - if the pad is larger, does it actually utelise more disc space?? (the reason i ask that question is i found that the v6 front disc are 274mm and with the 4 stud hub axels im using i went to a 270mm mx5 turbo disc.. i actually found that the extra 4mm isnt utelised by the pads at all, its just over hang.)

early mazda 6 calipers and pads with 4mm spacer for rear with the nb8b rotors, that's what I'm running with no problems
